• forming power partnerships between the far east, the middle east and the world

OUR JOURNEY

CONNECTING TWO KINGDOMS OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY.

Sathai was born out of an ambitious economic cooperation path charted by Saudi Arabia and Thailand since both countries restored their diplomatic ties in 2021. At a critical juncture for the global economy, we founded Sathai in 2022 with a vision to unlock bilateral business opportunities between the two kingdoms through capital, talent, and cultural exchange.

Our mission to create a cross-border business ecosystem between Saudi Arabia and Thailand is one that we believe can scale to developed and emerging economic hubs around the world.

Our growth philosophy is borderless, eradicating geographic, socio-economic, and cultural barriers for people and ideas with potential.

OUR SERVICES & SECTORS

Building on years of entrepreneurial expertise, strong local roots, and a robust network of partners in Saudi Arabia and Thailand, our advisory and consultancy services ladder into four focal areas:

We support businesses in understanding the local legislative context, navigating bureaucratic complexities, and ensuring regulatory compliance for the setup of their ventures in the Saudi and Thai markets.
We help institutions and individuals understand local market intricacies and business environment, identify their strategic role and objectives, and design a fit-for-purpose growth strategy.
We connect like-minded people and institutions across the venture-building value chain, and help stakeholders across our network explore shared growth opportunities and synergies.

WE EMPOWER CROSS-BORDER BUSINESSES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND NETWORK THEY NEED TO UNLEASH THEIR POTENTIAL.

Sutima Sucharitakul

Co-founder and managing partner, Sathai

Sutima’s entrepreneurial journey has been heavily influenced by her own multi-cultural background and cross-market exposure in London and New York. It was at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) that Sutima found her calling in connecting cultural and human capital for borderless economies and businesses. It was also where the young entrepreneur first developed an interest in the fast-transforming Middle East and other emerging markets.

While her professional path would lead her down a broad spectrum of remits with powerhouses in the retail and art fields – including with the Department of Asian Art at The MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) – Sutima’s career has remained focused on one mission: to connect emerging markets to the global economy through knowledge and cultural exchange. Since 2016, Sutima has brought this mission closer to home, having established a platform to cultivate multigenerational dialogue and long-term partnerships between the Southeast Asian and global contemporary art scenes. At Sathai, Sutima is broadening this ambition to Saudi-Thai trade relations, harnessing her cultural repertoire and international expertise at the service of knowledge-based, cross- border economic development.

Sultan AlShathry

Co-founder and partner, Sathai

Over the past decade, Sultan has helped establish, fund, scale, and exit numerous cross-border ventures in the construction, banking and finance, F&B, and technology fields.

Sultan graduated with honors from the University College London (UCL), where he majored in urban planning, design, and management. His academic journey at UCL helped him gain a broad and cross-sectoral perspective on how seemingly disparate disciplines connect on common ground to move economies, businesses, and people forward.
